In a major boost to Dubai's property market, the concept of freehold properties was introduced in the city of Dubai for the first time in the Middle East.
"Freehold" became the buzzworld in May 2002 when H.H. General Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, announced that 100% freehold ownership of certain properties in Dubai was available to all nationalities.

Dubai, UAE; July 11, 2008: Emaar Properties recognised its top-selling agents, including three local real estate agencies and one international agency, for their impressive sales of Emaar`s projects in 2007.
Hamptons International Dubai, PAN EAST Real Estate Brokers L.L.C. and Dehkadeh Real Estate Broker were the top-selling agents locally while Hawk Impax Trading was feted for being the top-selling international agent.
